Piri Mehmet Pasha Mosque (Silivri) Survey, Restitution, and Restoration Project Work
Piri Mehmet Pasha Mosque, located in Silivri, Istanbul, is a mosque built by Piri Mehmet Pasha, one of Sultan Selim I’s viziers. It features a plan with tabhane and zaviye sections. The mosque was constructed in 1530 and has a single minaret. The central large dome is complemented by a semi-dome along the mihrab axis and two single-domed spaces on the right and left sides of the entrance façade. There is a five-domed entrance portico.
Survey, restitution, and restoration projects for the structure were prepared and approved by the Istanbul Regional Board for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage No. 1. During the restoration implementation, consultancy services were provided to the client firm under professional application responsibility.
